We had a great experience in Greece, Lithuania, Latvia, France, and Italy and it was a big inspiration.

Thanks to the European Erasmus+ program, IES Almenara was the first high school to offer Esperanto and European values as an optional subject in the official public educational system in Spain in 2019. The main purpose of this program was to promote multilingüisim and promote a European perspective in our education.

    Aims and Objectives

    Job shadowing at IES Almenara in Vélez-Málaga, Andalusia, Spain, is a great option and opportunity to expand your experiences as a teacher and exchange ideas, practices, and methodologies.

    This great opportunity is ONLY for groups of teachers or students that enroll one of our courses. Places are limited. Previous reservation is required.

    In this way, you will exchange ideas, approaches, content organisation and add valuable teaching practices to your curriculum. In addition, you will live a wonderful experience by combining the enjoyment of a trip abroad with the work you love.

    How to get Erasmus+ funding for staff teaching

    To help you achieve this, you can apply for financial support in the form of an Erasmus+ grant through your educational institution, which must either apply for Erasmus+ accreditation for school education or have already been awarded a mobility project in which you can be included.

    Speak to your school or school coordinator to be included as a candidate teacher for teaching in Spain abroad under the Erasmus+ KA1 – Learning Mobility of Individuals programme, and more specifically your section as teaching staff in a School Education institution.
